Position: ServiceNow Developer
Location: Remote
Key Responsibilities:
- ServiceNow Development & Customization: Design and implement custom ServiceNow applications and workflows, focusing on CMDB, Discovery, and Service Portal. Customize forms, tables, views, and scripts (e.g., Business Rules, UI Actions, and Script Includes).
- CMDB & Discovery: Configure and manage the CMDB to track IT assets and configurations. Lead ServiceNow Discovery setup, ensuring accurate and up-to-date configuration items (CIs), and optimize Discovery jobs and sensors.
- Service Portal Development: Develop user-friendly Service Portals using AngularJS, HTML, CSS, and ServiceNow frameworks, integrating backend data into custom widgets for a seamless user experience.
- Collaboration & Support: Work with ITSM teams to align ServiceNow workflows with business needs. Mentor junior developers and assist with troubleshooting. Participate in code reviews and maintain code quality.
- Testing & QA: Test ServiceNow configurations and customizations, ensuring they meet business requirements. Execute test scripts to validate functionality.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay current on ServiceNow features and best practices. Suggest enhancements to workflows, configurations, and services to improve efficiency.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience: 5-8 years with ServiceNow, specifically in CMDB, Discovery, and Service Portal development.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong CMDB configuration and data modeling.
- Expertise in ServiceNow Discovery (probes, sensors, MID Server).
- Service Portal development using AngularJS, HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
- Proficient in ServiceNow scripting (Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Actions).
- Experience with REST/SOAP integrations and ITIL best practices.
- Orchestration and Automation knowledge is a plus.
- Certifications: ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (preferred); CMDB or Discovery Specialist certifications a plus.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Self-driven, with a keen attention to detail and ability to work independently.
